Becoming a POIS Introducer

Introducers wanted

Our POIS Introducer (PI) scheme is designed for people interested in making others aware of POIS and its products. It will pay them a fee for introducing new and existing customers to POIS, if the introduction results in a product being taken out.

How does it work?

  • The POIS Introducer (PI) scheme enables approved persons to introduce POIS products to new and existing customers.

Any introductions that result in a sale will generate a fee for you.

Approved persons will have both FCA and Foresters Friendly Society approval.
  • The PI will become an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) of Foresters Friendly Society.

To become an approved person and act as an Introducer we must make the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) aware of your role as well as carry out our own due diligence checks.
  • The PI cannot give advice and must adhere to the rules set out in the Introducer Appointed Representative Agreement and Handbook at all times.

Please note that neither POIS nor any of its Introducers are authorised to give financial advice. Your role will therefore be limited to providing materials such as leaflets and plan information packs, to potential customers. We will provide you with all the support and materials you need, free of charge.

What kind of person makes a good Introducer?

Our best Introducers are self-motivated, outgoing people who genuinely enjoy meeting new people.

If you are a Royal Mail employee you may wish to act as an Introducer in your current place of work, introducing our products to your work colleagues.

If you are not a Royal Mail employee, you may still be suitable to act as an Introducer for POIS.

What are the financial rewards of being an Introducer?

A flat fee is paid for introducing a new/existing customer who subsequently takes out a POIS financial product.  The fee is the same regardless of the product taken out.
