POIS Payroll Conversion Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Why is this change happening?
Unfortunately, your employer has chosen to no longer support deductions via your payroll, and so we are asking you to change to Direct Debit instead.
Please contact your employer on 0345 606 0603 to find out further details.
When are Direct Debit collections made?
Direct Debits are collected monthly on the 1st working day of each month. We are not able to offer weekly Direct Debit collections or other collection dates.
When will I receive confirmation of my Direct Debit
You will receive written confirmation of your Direct Debit payments by the end of March.
What happens if I don’t set up the Direct Debit Instruction by the return date?
If we do not receive your Direct Debit mandate by 15th March, we will not be able to commence collections from 1st April 2025, and this may cause your policy to fall into arrears.
How do I complete the Direct Debit mandate form?
You will need your sort code and bank account number.
If you need assistance, please contact our customer service team at 0800 049 5464 or email [email protected].
Am I able to change my bank account in the future?
Yes, bank accounts can be changed at any time by contacting the Contributions team on 0800 101 8314 to request a mandate, or to provide your new details over the phone.
Is there a fee for paying by Direct Debit?
There are no additional administrative fees for setting up or maintaining your Direct Debit to pay your contributions.
Can I just cash in my plan?
Policies can be surrendered at any time, however there are early surrender charges, depending on your policy. The amount of the charge will depend on how long you have held the policy.
Please contact us on 0800 101 8312 or email [email protected] with your policy number for further information.
Can I change the amount I pay?
No, the payment amount cannot be increased or decreased at any time.
Can I stop paying premiums but leave my funds invested?
Yes, but stopping contributions could have some impacts on your policy.
